Bangladesh’s Financial Intelligence Unit is seeking account details related to UK Treasury minister Tulip Siddiq and her family amidst allegations of embezzlement involving former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Siddiq strongly denies any wrongdoing and asserts she has no accounts outside the UK. The investigation follows accusations from political opponent Bobby Hajjaj. In response to growing scrutiny, Siddiq has referred herself to the prime minister’s standards adviser for a fact-finding review.
