An elderly woman, approximately 80 years old, tragically lost her life in a house fire early Wednesday morning, January 8, 2025, at her residence on Heracles Samara Street in Argos Orestiko. The fire ignited while she was asleep and rapidly spread through her basement apartment, leading to her death from smoke inhalation and subsequent incineration. Neighbors noticed the fire and alerted the authorities, who responded promptly. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
