Starting today, January 8, the municipality of Thessaloniki begins its annual recycling program for natural Christmas trees. Following the holiday season, residents can call the municipal service at 15195 to schedule the collection of their trees. The initiative, organized by the Waste Management Authority of Central Macedonia, aims to efficiently dispose of the discarded Christmas trees left on the sidewalks once decorations are taken down.
