Improving Accessibility for the Deaf Community in Greece
Understanding the needs and daily challenges faced by the deaf community is vital for creating a more inclusive society. A survey featuring young members of the Greek Federation of the Deaf highlights their perceptions of everyday sounds and dispels common myths about deafness. Additionally, the Western Macedonia Region has launched two tele-interpretation service stations to facilitate communication between deaf citizens and public services using Greek Sign Language, aiming to enhance accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
