Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) experienced a 13.1% rise in passenger traffic in 2024, with a total of 31.85 million travelers compared to 28.17 million in 2023. Both domestic and international traffic surpassed 2023 levels by 7.3% and 15.7%, respectively. December alone saw traffic increase by 14.5% year-on-year. Additionally, the number of flights rose to 268,301, marking an 11% increase from the previous year, with domestic flights up 5.1% and international flights up 15.5%.
