Couple Pleads Guilty to Dublin Zoo Fraud, Over €500,000 Stolen

Adnan Afzal and Agate Jansone have admitted to their involvement in a fraud case where over €511,000 was stolen from Dublin Zoo. The fraud, which occurred between November and December 2017, involved the redirection of funds from the zoo’s accounts. An investigation by the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau recovered over €360,000. The couple, both residing in Clonmel, pleaded guilty to money laundering charges and were remanded on bail for sentencing scheduled in May.
