In recent days, VTC drivers have faced threats and violence during taxi protests in cities including Paris, Grenoble, Rennes, and Marseille. Laureline Serieys, the General Director of Uber France, reported that five drivers were threatened with tasers or firearms and attacked. She urges the Ministry of Transport to intervene and emphasizes that these drivers will likely lodge complaints. Serieys also highlighted that VTC drivers undergo rigorous training similar to taxi drivers and regularly receive reminders about operational regulations.
