Ceconomy, the parent company of MediaMarkt and Saturn, reports a significant increase in revenue and prepares for its merger with Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com. In the third quarter of fiscal year 2024/25, Ceconomy achieved a 5.1% rise in adjusted revenue to €4.8 billion, reducing its operational loss. The CEO, Kai-Ulrich Deissner, expressed confidence in the company’s strong position, making it an attractive partner for JD.com. The merger is set to provide JD.com access to a major European electronics retail network but awaits regulatory approval.
