The trial of two Cretans accused of assaulting a German tourist family in Mylores, Crete, in August 2022 is nearing its conclusion. Final arguments from both the defense and prosecution will be presented tomorrow at the Mixed Jury Court of Chania. The prosecutor has proposed a guilty verdict for one defendant on charges of dangerous driving, while recommending acquittals for both on more serious assault and property damage charges. A verdict is expected to be announced shortly thereafter.
