Violence Against Israeli Football Fans Erupts in Amsterdam
Israeli football fans in Amsterdam faced violent attacks from groups of young men, leaving several injured, including broken noses and teeth. Victims recounted being confronted and assaulted after being questioned about their origins. One fan, Adi Reuben, described a harrowing experience of being kicked while on the ground as attackers shouted anti-Israel slogans. The Dutch police acknowledged the challenge in preventing these ‘hit-and-run’ assaults, which reportedly followed earlier tensions involving Maccabi fans. In response, they worked to ensure the safety of Israeli supporters during and after matches.
