Reviving History: Conference Focuses on the Ancient Settlement of Romyri

A two-day conference titled “Reviving Historic Settlements – The Case of Romyri” will take place on November 9th at the Cultural Center of Methoni. Organized by P4architecture and the National Technical University of Athens, this event aims to discuss architectural interventions in historic villages, using Romyri in Messinia as a case study. The event includes the inauguration of a related exhibition and a guided tour of the abandoned village. Local initiatives are underway to restore Romyri, with hopes of repopulating the village, once thriving since the early Turkish occupation.
