Greece Launches Centralized Management for Energy Efficiency Programs

The Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy is implementing a centralized management approach for its energy efficiency programs, aiming to reduce costs for materials and speed up project execution. General Secretary Aristotelis Aivaliotis shared insights at an energy conference, highlighting the need for a streamlined structure to enhance effectiveness. Proposed changes include assigning program management to companies or consortia chosen through a competitive process. This shift aims to reduce delays and cut administrative costs, ultimately accelerating the renovation of 400,000 homes by 2030 to meet energy targets.
