Thousands of Turkish Tourists Gather in Thessaloniki to Honor Atatürk

On the 86th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s death, thousands of Turkish visitors have flocked to Thessaloniki, Greece, to participate in a memorial ceremony at the birthplace of the founder of modern Turkey. The event is taking place at the Turkish consulate, necessitating road closures, including the closure of Apostolou Pavlou Street. Tourist buses from Turkey are parked along both directions of Agios Dimitrios Street, extending to the Teloglion Foundation of Arts.
