The restoration and maintenance of the frescoes and wooden iconostasis of the Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi in Kastros, Laconia, is nearing completion. The project, funded by the Region of Peloponnese with a budget of approximately €48,000, has been executed by the Laconia Antiquities Ephorate. This historic monument, designated as a protected site since 1962, plays a significant role in the cultural identity of Northern Laconia and features unique frescoes dating from the late 17th to early 18th centuries, alongside a wooden altar from the 19th century.
