A fifth case of sheep pox has been confirmed in Magnesia, Greece, specifically in Pteleos, Almyros municipality, despite existing control measures. Veterinary authorities are monitoring a herd of 500 sheep and have announced that infected animals will be culled as per the Ministry of Rural Development’s protocol. Protection zones have been established around the outbreak area, impacting several local communities, while surveillance zones extend further to monitor potential spread.
