A man was arrested in Kilkis, Greece, for violating national customs laws while attempting to evade police. During a vehicle search, authorities discovered 5,100 cigarette packs and 45 packages of tobacco, all unmarked and untaxed. Further investigation at his home in Thessaloniki revealed an additional 2,301 cigarette packs hidden in secret compartments. In total, 7,401 illegal cigarette packs and 45 tobacco packages were confiscated, alongside his vehicle, two mobile phones, and €365 in cash. The suspect will face legal proceedings in Kilkis.
