Yiannis Makrymallakis, the founder and president of the Cretan Association of Ptolemaida, passed away this morning. Under his leadership, the association became one of the largest cultural organizations in the city, actively promoting Cretan heritage through various events. Makrymallakis was also involved in local cultural initiatives, collaborating with other organizations. His funeral service is scheduled for tomorrow at 15:00 at the Church of Agia Skepi in Ptolemaida.
