Notre-Dame Cathedral Set to Reopen with Ceremonial Events in December
Five years after the devastating fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral, a series of ceremonies are scheduled for its reopening in December. French President Emmanuel Macron will visit the restoration site on November 29, followed by a symbolic handover of the cathedral to the Church on December 7, where he will deliver a speech. The first Mass will be held on December 8, allowing public access from December 8 to 14. Despite ongoing finishing touches and a remaining budget of €140 million for restoration, the site is poised to resume its spiritual and cultural significance.
