The General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE) has announced a nationwide strike on November 20, 2024, in Thessaloniki to protest high living costs and inadequate wages. Leaders from GSEE criticized the government’s plans to raise the minimum wage to €950 by 2027 as insufficient, highlighting that it amounts to only a €40 annual increase over three years.
