Amnesty International Accuses France of Violating Sudan Arms Embargo
Amnesty International has revealed that military equipment manufactured in France, including Galix self-protection systems from KNDS-France and Lacroix, is being used in Sudan, allegedly breaching the EU arms embargo. The organization reported that armored vehicles made in the UAE are deployed by the Rapid Support Forces in combat. Amnesty’s Secretary General Agnès Callamard called for France to end supplies of offending systems to the UAE, emphasizing the risks of violations against international law and humanitarian principles amid the ongoing Sudanese conflict, which has claimed countless lives since April 2023.
