Chania Airport in Greece is experiencing a surge in passenger traffic, with arrivals reaching 3.8 million by October 2024, a 13% increase compared to last year. October alone saw a 15% increase in foreign arrivals, exceeding 325,000. The airport has also recorded over 25,000 landings this year, surpassing all of 2023. Tourism experts anticipate the total number of visitors may approach 4 million for 2024, with indications that the tourist season might start earlier next year with charter flights as early as late February.
