Greece’s Employment Programs Boost Job Opportunities for Over 200,000
The Greek Ministry of Labor highlights its proactive employment policies, showcasing a significant increase in beneficiaries from public employment programs. Over the past five years, 201,239 individuals have participated, leading to 180,053 placements and the approval of 21,186 business proposals. Targeted initiatives focus on youth, women, and vulnerable groups. The ministry reports a notable drop in unemployment to 9.3%, emphasizing ongoing efforts to adapt employment strategies to market needs. Most beneficiaries are women aged 29 and under, with the highest concentration in Central Macedonia and Attica regions.
