A Southwest Airlines flight was hit by a bullet while taxiing for takeoff at Dallas Love Field Airport. Flight 2494, set for Indianapolis, was struck on the right side near the flight deck. Fortunately, no injuries occurred, and the aircraft was able to return to the gate for passengers to disembark. The airport temporarily closed the runway during the incident, but it has since resumed normal operations.
