Switzerland will experience a notable shift in weather conditions starting this week, with interruptions of rain and snow from Sunday night into Monday. A series of low-pressure systems will bring precipitation, especially on Wednesday and Friday, while the snow line will fluctuate between 800 and 2000 meters. The western Alps could see over 100 cm of new snow, whereas the lowlands might receive up to 20 cm by Friday morning. Strong winds are also anticipated, particularly on Tuesday and Wednesday, leading to gusts in the flatlands and storm conditions in the mountains.
