A Delegation from Central Macedonia Visits the Ecumenical Patriarchate for St. Andrew’s Feast
A delegation from the Central Macedonia Municipal Union visited the Ecumenical Patriarchate, marking the Feast of St. Andrew. Mayors engaged with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew during a significant service at St. George’s Church. The delegation president, Ignatios Kaitesidis, presented a symbolic olive branch to the Patriarch, emphasizing peace and ecology. Later, they attended a concert organized by the Zografion School, celebrating the Patriarch’s 33 years of leadership. A joint dinner was held, highlighting the importance of community and cultural heritage.
