Greece’s 9th Special Forest Operations Unit of the Fire Service has received state-of-the-art drones equipped with thermal cameras and high-definition systems. The ceremony took place in Tripoli, aiming to enhance public safety and disaster response capabilities. Peloponnese Regional Governor Dimitris Ptchos emphasized that these drones will aid in early fire detection and monitoring challenging areas, significantly improving firefighting operations amidst the climate crisis.
