Agnes Keleti, World’s Oldest Olympic Champion, Passes Away at 103
Agnes Keleti, the world’s oldest living Olympic champion and a five-time gold medalist, has died at the age of 103 in Budapest. Born on January 9, 1921, she was a Holocaust survivor who fled Hungary during World War II. Keleti achieved remarkable success in gymnastics, winning a total of ten Olympic medals, including five golds at the 1952 Helsinki Games and the 1956 Melbourne Games, all after turning 30. She left Hungary in the aftermath of the 1956 anti-Soviet uprising and returned permanently in 2015.
