AI System Identifies Abusive Social Media Posts Targeting Tennis Players
A recent AI-driven initiative by major tennis organizations has revealed that angry gamblers account for 48% of the 12,000 abusive social media posts directed at tennis players this year. The established ‘Threat Matrix’ service monitored over 2.47 million posts across platforms and flagged numerous instances for removal. Notably, abuse from 15 accounts was serious enough to involve law enforcement. Former WTA player Victoria Azarenka commended the initiative for promoting a healthier online environment and addressing the issue of online hate in sports.
