Alexander Lukashenko Responds to Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Claims of Apology Over Russia’s Actions
Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko commented on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statements regarding an alleged apology offered by Lukashenko for Russia’s initial attack from Belarus. Zelenskyy recounted a phone call with Lukashenko where the latter denied responsibility and insisted he had no control over the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Lukashenko further criticized Zelenskyy, suggesting he had ulterior motives and preferred the stability of a dictatorship over Ukraine’s democracy. Additionally, Lukashenko’s spokesperson denied any apology was made.
