The city of Alexandroupolis is set to kick off 2025 with the Women’s Water Polo World Cup Qualifier, taking place from January 14 to 19 at the local Demosthenes Michalentzakis Swimming Pool. The event promises high-level competition, encouraging local fans to secure tickets. The agreement for the tournament was finalized last October during a meeting between Alexandroupolis Mayor Giannis Zamboukis and Hellenic Swimming Federation President Kyriakos Giannopoulos in Athens.
