Amazon has announced its investment in three large-scale wind farms in Greece, marking its largest renewable energy initiative in the country. This project aims to support the energy needs of Amazon while contributing to Greece’s transition to renewable energy sources. The wind farms are expected to produce clean energy sufficient to power 200,000 households annually and create approximately 300 jobs. The initiative aligns with Amazon’s ‘Climate Pledge’ to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, enhancing both local economies and sustainable energy production in Greece.
