Angelikí Rálli, an Emeritus Professor of Linguistics at the University of Patras, has been appointed as the Chair of Linguistic Studies at the European Academy. With a background in linguistics from the University of Montreal, she is one of only two Greek linguists in a group of 237 members. Her appointment, which runs until the end of 2027, highlights her significant contributions to the field, including organizing international conferences and directing research in endangered Greek dialects.
