Aontú has achieved a significant milestone with the election of Paul Lawless as a Teachta Dála (TD) in Mayo, marking the party’s second seat in the Dáil. Lawless, who previously ran unsuccessfully in 2020, has a background in sports and education. Party leader Peadar Tóibín was also re-elected in Meath West. Tóibín noted that Aontú experienced the highest percentage increase among all parties in this election and hinted at the potential for a third seat in Cavan-Monaghan.
