Apple Agrees to $95 Million Settlement in Siri Listening Lawsuit

Apple has reached a $95 million settlement regarding allegations that its Siri virtual assistant recorded users without their consent. The lawsuit claimed that iPhone and other devices eavesdropped on customers and shared recordings with advertisers. Apple denies any wrongdoing and maintains that recordings were deleted per guidelines. As part of the class action agreement, eligible claimants could receive up to $20 for each Siri-enabled device owned between 2014 and 2019. The decision is expected on February 14 at a California court.
