A resident of Ioannina was arrested by local police for serious offenses including involvement in a criminal organization, repeated fraud, and drug possession. The suspect was part of a scheme defrauding elderly individuals through phone scams posing as police officers, collecting a total of €6,540 from three victims. Authorities seized €1,400 and narcotic pills during the arrest, and the individual was brought before the Ioannina Prosecutor’s Office.
