Municipalities struggle to meet government obligations to house these individuals, leading to a backlog of nearly 11,000. The current cabinet plans to remove housing mandates, raising concerns from the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) that this could prolong the asylum crisis and impede integration efforts.
