The Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, inaugurated two newly renovated basketball courts at the Grava Sports Center, funded by the Public Electricity Corporation (DEH). The renovations included new flooring, hoops, fencing, and maintenance work. Doukas emphasized the importance of such facilities for youth sports, while Eleni Zontirou, president of the city’s sports organization, highlighted the collaboration between public and private sectors. DEH’s Senior Brand and Marketing Communications Director, Katerina Chrysoopoulou, spoke on the initiative’s aim to provide equal opportunities for sports and recreation.
