The Employees’ Union of Athens Metro Operations (SELMA) has announced a work stoppage today from 9 PM until the end of service due to unresolved contractual and financial issues with the authorities. Both metro lines 2 and 3, as well as Electric Railway employees on line 1, will be affected. The union is seeking immediate solutions to secure workers’ rights and benefits, including requests for hazard pay and extensions to existing employment programs.
