Starting December 20, vehicle and motorcycle owners in Athens can reclaim their plates removed by the Municipal Police to facilitate holiday travel. Retrieval requires payment of fines and submission of necessary documentation, including a registration permit and identification. However, plates confiscated for social parking violations or based on judicial decisions will not be returned.
