An attempted attack on Pope Francis’ motorcade by a Spanish activist was thwarted as he was en route to honor the statue of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary. The activist, along with three others, attempted to rush at one of the papal vehicles, but authorities intervened quickly, allowing the Pope’s schedule to continue as planned.
