Audi has announced a significant minority stake acquisition by the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) as part of its strategy to enhance its Formula 1 team, Sauber. The investment, estimated at around 30%, is expected to accelerate the team’s growth and modernization efforts in Hinwil and Neuburg an der Donau ahead of the 2026 regulatory reforms in Formula 1. Audi CEO Gernot Döllner emphasized the importance of this partnership for the team’s long-term success.
