Oscar-nominated Austin Butler is set to star in a new film adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’s iconic novel ‘American Psycho,’ directed by Luca Guadagnino. Despite rumors of Jacob Elordi landing the role of Patrick Bateman, Butler secured the position. Both actors previously portrayed Elvis Presley, with Butler receiving acclaim for his role in ‘Elvis.’ The Lionsgate production, penned by Scott Z. Burns, will not be a remake of the 2000 film featuring Christian Bale. Guadagnino has recently completed filming ‘After the Hunt’ with Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield.
