The 37-year-old faced ridicule for her unconventional routine, which included moves like the ‘sprinkler’ and ‘kangaroo hop’. Although she initially intended to continue competing, the overwhelming scrutiny and aggressive responses prompted her to reconsider. Gunn expressed frustration over the public perception of her talent and revealed the emotional toll it took, stating, ‘I just didn’t have any control over how people saw me.’
