Author Discusses Autism Awareness on International Day of Persons with Disabilities

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, author and radio producer Katina Malakate shared her late autism diagnosis at age 45. She spoke about the challenges she faced growing up in Greece during the 1980s and 1990s, including bullying and difficulties in social interactions, highlighting the need for early diagnosis and intervention for autistic individuals. Malakate emphasized the importance of understanding and supporting those on the autism spectrum to improve their quality of life.
