Train services on Avanti West Coast will be significantly reduced on New Year’s Eve due to a strike by train managers over rest days. The RMT union members plan to walk out on December 31 and January 2, resulting in limited service operation. Passengers are advised to travel before or after the strike dates or seek refunds. Additionally, strikes are planned every Sunday from January 12 to May 25. RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch criticized the company’s inadequate proposal to resolve the dispute.
