A crash involving an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft in Kazakhstan was reportedly caused by the plane deviating from its original destination due to dense fog and warnings of Ukrainian drone attacks in Chechnya. The head of Rosaviatsia, Dmitry Yadroff, indicated the aircraft was targeted by Russian anti-aircraft systems. Following the incident, Azerbaijan Airlines announced a suspension of flights to seven Russian cities while continuing services to six major urban areas, including Moscow.
