Azerbaijan Hosts 29th UN Climate Conference Amid Global Challenges
The 29th UN Climate Conference commenced today in Baku, Azerbaijan, and will run until November 22. Taking place shortly after Donald Trump’s recent presidential election and in the wake of deadly floods in Valencia, Spain, the event sees Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis attending at a high level. Greece is actively participating with over 45 events and will engage in discussions focused on coordinated climate action, energy transition, and enhancing energy security. A key goal of the conference is to establish funding from developed nations to assist developing countries in combating climate change impacts.
