Syrian opposition forces have taken control of the presidential palace in Damascus following the reported fall of President Bashar al-Assad. Objects and furniture were found scattered throughout the empty rooms. Russia has confirmed that Assad has left the country and claims he has resigned, although his current location remains unknown.
