The Confederation of German Industry (BDI) calls for comprehensive reforms from the next government, highlighting that Germany’s competitiveness is declining. In a detailed policy paper released ahead of the federal elections, the BDI urges tax cuts, increased investments, and reduced bureaucracy to combat the economic slump. They propose a significant infrastructure investment of €315 billion and aim to alleviate corporate tax burdens while enhancing digital infrastructure.
