Around 500 individuals marched in Belfast to raise awareness of violence against women and girls, organized by the Walkie Talkie Girlies from Queen’s University. Participants shared personal safety strategies, such as sharing locations and traveling in groups, in response to recent attacks on women. The event, marking the city as particularly vulnerable, aimed to draw attention to the urgent need for effective measures to ensure women’s safety on the streets. As advocates call for change, the realities of walking alone at night remain a pressing concern for many.
